A sweet, playful puppy is looking for his forever home. Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Looking to add a new pup to your home? Russo is a 7-month-old Lab mix that is looking for his forever home, and it's our goal to help him get just that.  Plus, his adoption fee is 20% off! Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Russo:

Russo is a 7-month-old Lab mix who is searching for his forever home. He came to us from Evansville Animal Care & Control, and while we don’t know much about his past, it’s clear that Russo is a sweet, playful puppy with so much love to give.

Russo is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and neutered — he’s ready to go home! He’s very much still a puppy and has lots to learn, but he makes up for it with his joyful personality and enthusiasm for life. Russo loves attention, has frequent zoomies, and is famous around the shelter for having the *wiggliest butt* when he’s happy.

When Russo first arrived, he was nervous with handling and unsure around new people, especially in his kennel. With time, patience, and a consistent routine, he has made great progress and continues to gain confidence every day. Once he’s out of his kennel and realizes you’re a friend, he quickly turns into a happy, affectionate pup full of wiggles and excitement.

Russo has also made a couple different dog friends while at the shelter, and has done amazing with all of them! He would do best in a home willing to continue working with him as he grows, learns, and builds confidence.

If you’re interested in adopting Russo, please fill out an application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption or in person at the shelter. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You’re also welcome to stop by and meet him — we’re open Wed–Thu from 12–7 and Fri–Sun from 12–4.

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Russo is waiting! You can meet him at the WHS today!
