This little girl is a  and is ready to find her forever home. Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week, Nova!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Nova is a 5-year-old Border Collie mix who is ready to find her forever home.

Nova came to us from Warrick County Animal Control, and while we don't know much about her history, it didn't take long for her sweet personality to win over our staff and volunteers. She has quickly become a volunteer favorite thanks to her friendly nature, intelligence, and enthusiasm for spending time with people.

Nova is social and enjoys meeting new people. She already knows how to sit and is always happy to show off her skills when treats are involved. She loves going for walks and approaches them with excitement, making every outing an adventure. Whether she's exploring outside, learning new things, or soaking up attention from her favorite people, Nova is happiest when she's engaged and included.

As a Border Collie mix, Nova is smart, attentive, and eager to interact with the people around her. She would thrive with a family that can provide her with companionship, activity, and opportunities to continue learning.

Nova can be selective with other dogs, but she has shown that she can do well with the right canine companion and proper introductions. She is very playful!

Nova is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and spayed. She is ready to go home!

If you're interested in adopting Nova, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You're also welcome to come meet her. We're open Wed–Thu 12–7 and Fri–Sun 12–4.

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Nova is waiting. Don't wait, you can meet her at the WHS today!
