Meet Brittany! The Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week
It's Brittany! Our pet of the week, looking for her furever home!

Meet our Piece of Cake Pet of the Week, Brittany!

I love dogs with human names! Especially when their personality matches the name. I had a dog named Lisa when I was younger, and she was definatley a Lisa...take that how you want. Anyway, Brittany is our Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week. She's looking for his forever home, and it's up to us as a community to help her find it! Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Brittany:
Brittany is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix who is ready to find her forever home.Brittany came to us with her puppies after having a difficult start to life. She devoted herself to raising her babies, and now that they no longer need her, it's finally her turn to be loved and cared for.Brittany is an incredibly intelligent, playful, and affectionate girl who is eager to please. She can sometimes take a little extra time to warm up to men, but once she gets to know them, she forms wonderful bonds. During her time at the shelter, she's made great progress thanks to our male staff members and a dedicated male volunteer who has been spending extra time giving her love, attention, and socialization. Her confidence continues to grow every day, and she has become such a sweet, trusting companion. While in foster care, Brittany also showed that she does wonderfully with kids. She would do best in a home without cats. She gets along well with some dogs, but because she can be selective, we recommend a meet-and-greet with any dogs already in the home. Brittany also resource guards her food, which isn't uncommon for a mama dog who had to compete for resources while raising puppies. She'll simply need to be fed separately from other dogs and continue building confidence with someone who understands her past.Brittany is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and spayed. She is ready to go home!If you're interested in adopting Brittany, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You're also welcome to come meet her. We're open Wednesday and Thursday from 12–7 and Friday through Sunday from 12–4.
If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Brittany is waiting. Don't wait; you can meet her at the WHS today!
