This little boy is truly "man's best friend" and is ready to find his forever home. Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week, Morton!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

They say that dogs are "man's best friend."  That certainly has to be the case with Bailey because this little boy checks off all boxes when it comes to being a good boy! He is our Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week. He's looking for his forever home, and it's up to us as a community to help him find it! Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Bailey:

Bailey is a 6-month-old Dalmatian/Pit mix who is ready to find his forever home.

Somehow, Bailey has already been waiting at the shelter for a month, which is hard to believe when you meet him. He’s still very much a puppy and has all the charm, wiggles, and enthusiasm you’d expect from one. We thought he would have found a family by now, but he’s still patiently waiting for someone to choose him.

Bailey came to us through no fault of his own and has quickly become a staff favorite. He is incredibly friendly, loves people, and is always excited to make new friends. Whether he’s greeting visitors with a wagging tail or soaking up attention from volunteers, Bailey approaches life with a happy and affectionate attitude.

He’s also a smart young dog who is eager to learn and eager to please. Bailey is already house trained and rides well in the car, giving him a great head start for his future family. He enjoys spending time with people and would thrive in a home where he can continue learning, playing, and growing alongside his new family.

At around 6 months old, Bailey is still quite small and is expected to stay a medium-sized dog when fully grown, making him a great fit for many different types of households.

Bailey is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and neutered. He is ready to go home!

If you're interested in adopting Bailey, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You're also welcome to come meet him. We're open Wed–Thu 12–7 and Fri–Sun 12–4.

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Bailey is waiting. Don't wait, you can meet him at the WHS today!
