Nose Marie has to be the most unique name I have heard. I have so many questions, but the main one is who will be taking our pet of the week to her furever home?

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Meet our Piece of Cake Pet of the Week, Nose Marie!

I have heard some unique pet names throughout the years, but this one might top the cake. This week's Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week happens to be named Nose Marie. I hope to hear the story of how her name came to be, but until then, she's looking for his forever home, and it's up to us as a community to help her find it! Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Nose Marie:

Nose Marie is a 2-year-old Boxer/Terrier mix who is looking for her forever home.

Nose Marie came to us with her puppies, and now that they've grown up and no longer need her, she's ready for a family of her very own. She is an incredibly gentle, loving dog with a calm personality, but she also has a wonderfully goofy side that comes out once she's comfortable. She loves wrestling, has some impressive hops, gets especially excited around mealtime, and is happiest curled up on the couch for a nap or cuddling with her favorite people.

She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she's incredibly sweet and well behaved. Nose Marie appears to be potty trained and has done well with certain dogs in the past, especially males, though here at the shelter she has been selective with other dogs and we believe she would do best as the only dog in her home. She has also shown interest in playing with cats through their cages, even if they don't appreciate her invitations.

Nose Marie is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, prevention, and is spayed. She is ready to go home!

If you're interested in adopting Nose Marie, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You're also welcome to come meet her. We're open Wednesday and Thursday from 12–7 and Friday through Sunday from 12–4.

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Nose Marie is waiting. Don't wait; you can meet her at the WHS today!
