His name alone makes him stand out. He's a dog named Frog! Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

I've always said that I love a dog with a human name, but a dog with another animal's name is a whole new level of adorable. Especially when they're as happy-go-lucky as Frog! Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Frog:

Frog is a 4-year-old Boxer mix who is searching for his furever home. He came to us from Union County Animal Control in Kentucky after being surrendered through no fault of his own. Now that he’s settled in, Frog is more than ready to find a family to call his own.

Frog is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and neutered — he’s ready to go home! He is a super sweet, happy-go-lucky guy who absolutely loves people and does great with kids. Frog is known for being goofy, affectionate, and full of personality, and he never misses an opportunity to soak up attention.

While Frog would need to be the only dog in the home, we are told that he previously lived safely with cats. He would thrive in a home that can give him plenty of love, structure, and understanding.

If you’re interested in adopting Frog, please fill out an application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption or in person at the shelter. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You’re also welcome to stop by and meet him — we’re open Wed–Thu from 12–7 and Fri–Sun from 12–4.

Frog also has a special reduced adoption fee, so be sure to ask staff for more details.

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Frog the dog is waiting! You can meet him at the WHS today!
