Who doesn't love Cheese?! This adorable boy is our pet of the week, and we need to help him find his furever home!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Say Cheese! No seriously, if you say Cheese, this little boy will come running because that's her name!

Cheese is a 1.5-year-old Beagle mix who is looking for his forever home.
Cheese is a gentle, sensitive boy who may be a little nervous when meeting new people, but behind those cautious eyes is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. Shelter life can be overwhelming for a dog like Cheese, and all he's looking for is someone who will give him a little patience and let him build trust at his own pace.
Once Cheese realizes he's safe, his loving personality begins to shine. He enjoys spending time with the people he knows, welcomes gentle affection, and forms incredibly rewarding bonds with those who are willing to let him come out of his shell. He's not the kind of dog who demands attention right away. Instead, he's the kind who quietly steals your heart over time.
We truly believe Cheese will flourish in a calm, loving home where he can leave the stress of shelter life behind and gain confidence day by day. Some of the strongest connections are built slowly, and Cheese is the perfect reminder that the best friendships are worth waiting for.
Cheese is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, prevention, and is neutered. He is ready to go home!
If you're interested in adopting Cheese, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You're also welcome to come meet him. We're open Wednesday and Thursday from 12–7 and Friday through Sunday from 12–4.

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Cheese is waiting. Don't wait; you can meet him at the WHS today!
