Meet Flounder! The Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week
You can't find a Flounder like this at Long John Silvers! This adorable boy is our pet of the week, and we need to help him find his furever home!

Meet our Piece of Cake Pet of the Week, Flounder!

I've seen dogs with human names, but I've never met a dog named after a type of fish. That was until we were introduced to this week's Pet of the Week. Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about Flounder:
Flounder is a 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is looking for his forever home.
Flounder is looking for a home again through absolutely no fault of his own. His previous family had to move to housing that would not allow him to stay, so sadly, this sweet boy found himself back at the shelter. Now we're hoping his next chapter will be his forever one.
Since being adopted, we've learned even more about what an incredible companion Flounder is. His previous adopters described him as "the sweetest boy," and it's easy to see why. Flounder is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. He rides wonderfully in the car and is great with people, cats, and other dogs.
Flounder is also a smart boy who knows "kennel," "sit," and even "say please"! When he's not showing off his manners, he loves playing with tennis balls and rope toys. He's sweet, outgoing, and seems to believe that everyone he meets is simply a new friend he hasn't gotten to know yet.
Flounder has already experienced what it's like to have a family, and we would love nothing more than to help him find that feeling again. He is the kind of dog who is ready to be included in all the little parts of everyday life, whether that's going for a car ride, playing with his favorite toys, or simply spending time with his people.
Flounder is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, and is neutered. He is ready to go home!
If you're interested in adopting Flounder, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You're also welcome to come meet him. We're open Wednesday and Thursday from 12–7 and Friday through Sunday from 12–4.
If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Flounder is waiting. Don't wait; you can meet him at the WHS today!
