Meet Frankie! The Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week
This 1-year-old boxer/lab mix is looking for his furever home! Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week!
The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Meet our Piece of Cake Pet of the Week, Frankie!

First off, I love a dog with a human name, especially if it fits their personality. He's young and is ready to find his perfect home. So our goal is to help make that happen! Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Frankie:
Frankie is a 1-year-old Boxer/Lab mix who is ready to find his forever home and has now been waiting 73 days. He came to us after being surrendered because he accidentally knocked over the small children in his previous home. It was made clear that Frankie showed no aggression — he’s simply a young, excitable boy who doesn’t quite realize his size or strength. We’re told that Frankie did great with the family’s older children (6+), all people, other dogs, and even cats (though he may chase them playfully). His favorite things include being outside, exploring small spaces, and satisfying his curious, adventurous nature. He’s an energetic, affectionate pup who absolutely loves to cuddle. After arriving at the shelter, Frankie was very scared and still can be quite vocal when he’s unsure about new people or situations, especially when he's in a confined space like his kennel. However, it hasn't taken long to see that he’s truly a sweet, goofy puppy at heart. He loves to “talk,” even with people he likes, and it’s been wonderful getting to know his fun personality. Once he trusts you, he is incredibly affectionate and very cuddly. Frankie will benefit from continued work on potty training and leash training, along with a patient adopter who can help guide him as he grows.Frankie is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and neutered. If you’re interested in giving Frankie the loving home he deserves, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You’re also welcome to stop by and meet him — we’re open Wed–Thu from 12–7 and Fri–Sun from 12–4.Frankie has so much love to give. He’s just waiting for someone to give him a chance. His adoption fee is 20% off!
