This good boy oddly looks like someone I know. Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week, Slade!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Have you ever seen a dog that looks like it has human features? For example, a dog with what looks like a beard? Well, that's certainly the case with Slade. Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Slade:

Slade is a 1.5-year-old, 36 lb Terrier mix who is ready to find his forever home. He came to us from Evansville Animal Care & Control after being found as a stray. While we don’t know much about his past, he has proven to be a sweet and goofy boy during his time with us.

Slade has a fun-loving personality and enjoys bringing smiles to everyone he meets. He’s an affectionate dog who loves attention and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a playful and loyal friend.

Slade is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and neutered. He is ready to finally find his furever home!

If you’re interested in giving Slade the loving home he deserves, please fill out an adoption application in person or on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You’re also welcome to stop by and meet him — we’re open Wed–Thu from 12–7 and Fri–Sun from 12–4.

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Slade is waiting! You can meet him at the WHS today!
