This smiling little girl is ready to find her forever home. Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week, Mama Cass!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Are you "California Dreamin'" of the perfect family dog? Let me introduce you to Mama Cass. See what I did there? She is our Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week. She's looking for his forever home, and it's up to us as a community to help her find it! Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Sasha:

Mama Cass came to us from Evansville Animal Care & Control along with a couple puppies, and from the moment she arrived, she completely charmed our staff with her sweet and goofy personality. Even during intake, she was calm, affectionate, and happy to soak up attention.

She’s the kind of dog who seems determined to enjoy life to the fullest. Mama Cass is happy-go-lucky, playful, and always ready for some fun, especially if tennis balls are involved. She loves chasing them around and entertaining herself with playtime. Despite her confident energy, she also has one hilariously unexpected fear: butterflies and moths. She is absolutely convinced they are evil and will dramatically run away from them. It’s impossible not to laugh watching her reactions.

Mama Cass has an amazing temperament and truly seems to love everyone she meets. She’s affectionate, outgoing, and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal dog with both a playful side and a lot of love to give.

She is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and spayed. She is ready to go home!

If you’re interested in adopting Mama Cass, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You’re also welcome to come meet her. We’re open Wed–Thu 12–7 and Fri–Sun 12–4.

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Mama Cass is waiting. Don't wait until "Monday, Monday," you can meet her at the WHS today!
