Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week: Jolene

Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeennneee! No, this isn't the same Jolene that Dolly was singing about, but she might try to take your man! Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.

The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! Meet our Piece of Cake Pet of the Week, Jolene!

First off, I love a dog with a human name, especially if it fits their personality. Not to mention, you're going to have a hard time not singing this little girl's name, if you're familiar with the famous Dolly Parton song, "Jolene." She's looking for her furever home, and we want to help her find it. Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Jolene:

Jolene is a 2-year-old Pitbull mix who is ready to find her forever home. She came to us from Evansville Animal Care & Control, and while we don’t know much about her past, she has been an absolute joy since arriving at our shelter.
Jolene is beautiful, sweet, and incredibly loving. She’s the perfect medium size for many homes, but she has the personality of a much bigger dog. She’s enthusiastic, full of life, and loves with her whole heart.

She thrives on attention and affection and would love a family that appreciates her playful, outgoing nature. Whether she’s leaning in for pets, happily trotting around to greet everyone, or soaking up all the love she can get, Jolene’s joyful spirit is contagious.

Jolene is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and is spayed. She is ready to go home with you!
