Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week, Finnley!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

A sweet girl who has a loving nature is looking for her forever home, and we want to help her find it. Her name is Finnley, and she's an ideal family dog. Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Finnley:

Finnley is a 4-year-old German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix who is ready to find her forever home. She was originally adopted from us in 2023 and has now been returned due to no fault of her own.

Finnley is such a sweet, loving girl who has done well with kids and has experience living in a home. She is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. She has an energetic, playful personality but also has a smart, loyal nature that makes her a wonderful companion.

While Finnley isn’t a fan of her crate and can be scared during storms and fireworks, she is otherwise a happy, affectionate dog who just needs a family to help her feel safe and loved again.

Finnley is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and is spayed. She is ready to go home!

If you’re interested in giving Finnley the loving home she deserves, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You’re also welcome to stop by and meet her — we’re open Wed–Thu from 12–7 and Fri–Sun from 12–4.

Also, Finnley's adoption fee along with all other dogs who have been with us a month or longer is 50% off until 3/22!

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Finnley is waiting! You can meet her at the WHS today!
