This one-year-old girl is looking for her forever home. Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week.

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Isn't she adorable?! That's Risa, and she is patiently awaiting a loving family to take her to her new forever home. Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about Risa:

This week’s Pet of the Week is Risa! Risa is a 1-year-old Lab/Cattle Dog mix who has been waiting 60 days for her forever family. She’s full of love, smarts, and playful energy — and she’s more than ready to trade her shelter kennel for a cozy home.

Risa is great with people, kids, dogs of all sizes (she’s made friends with small dogs, large dogs, and everything in between), and even cats! She’s crate trained, leash trained, rides well in the car, and knows how to sit.

Risa is still very much a puppy at heart and hasn’t had much training, so she’ll need a patient home willing to guide and teach her. The good news is—she’s incredibly eager to please and quick to learn! With time, consistency, and love, she’ll blossom into the perfect companion.

She is up to date on vaccines, deworming, and prevention, microchipped, and spayed. To help her find her perfect match, her adoption fee is currently 20% off!

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, it sounds like Risa is an ideal family dog. You can meet her at the WHS today!
