This lovable boy is looking for his forever home as our Vanderburgh Humane Society Pet of the Week.

The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) in Evansville has pets of all shapes and sizes. Or, as Executive Director, Kendall Paul likes to say when she stops by the studio on Thursdays, "all makes and models, and all certified pre-owned." They also have them of all ages, from puppies and kittens that are weeks old to dogs and cats that have been around for a while. So there is an excellent likelihood that the VHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! Each week we feature a pet of the week from the VHS along with Piece of Cake Bakery, and this week we've got a handsome boy named Doby!

Meet Doby...

This good boy was one of the many animals that the VHS rescued from a Flordia shelter after the recent hurricane. Doby is available for adoption right now, and he is perfect for any home. Here's what the Vanderburgh Humane Society says about Doby:

Meet Doby! Not that looks are everything, but just look at this handsome boy…forehead wrinkles and ears for days! At just a year old, he’s also a kind and determined character who will always look out for you. He’s one of the dogs that recently took an airplane ride from Florida to be here, further proving his bravery and resilience. Doby’s $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, registered microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations. Apply online at vhslifesaver.org and come fall in love with Doby today!
