This little girl is looking for her forever home. Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week, Avacado.

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

This beautiful pup is very shy, sweet, and loving. Avacado is just a little pup, and she is patiently awaiting a loving family to take her to her new forever home. Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Avacado:

Avocado is a 2 year old Pitbull mix. She is looking for a home!

Avocado is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, prevention, is microchipped, and spayed. She is ready to go home! We don't know much about Avocado's past, but she is such a sweetheart. She is high energy and has a very puppy-like personality. She is nervous of new situations and doesn't seem to have much experience, but she is very patient and communicates with her people well. She just needs understanding and time to realize new things aren't so scary! She loves people and playtime. If you are interested in her and have another dog, we'd be able to have a meet-and-greet!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application on our website. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. We are open Wed-Thu 12-7 and Fri-Sun 12-4 if you'd like to come visit!

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, it sounds like Avacado is an ideal family dog. You can meet her at the WHS today!
