This handsome boy is ready to find his forever home! Let's learn more about our Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week, Leo.
The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Do you remember the old children's show called "Wishbone," about a Terrier that daydreams about being the lead character of stories from classic literature? Well, Leo totally gives off Wishbone vibes! Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about this pup:

This week’s Pet of the Week is Leo! Leo is a 1-year-old Terrier mix looking for his forever home. He came to us from Webster County Animal Care and Control and was adopted briefly, but was returned about a month ago due to no fault of his own. He’s been waiting patiently ever since for someone to give him a second chance.

Leo can be a little shy at first, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and playful personality shines through. He especially loves kissy noises and affection!

Leo is up to date on vaccines, deworming, and prevention, microchipped, and is neutered. He's ready to go home! This little guy weighs just 15 lbs, making him the perfect lapdog-sized walking or running companion. He’s house-trained, loves to play with balls and rope toys, and enjoys going for walks or runs. Leo is a high-energy boy who loves to stay busy and would thrive with someone who can give him the exercise, training, and attention he needs.

He does great with all people and is ready to find someone who will keep up with his adventurous spirit!
