You've Heard Colter Wall And Don't Even Know It

You've heard him on some of your favorite shows and probably don't even realize it. The Canadian singer, songwriter, and musician made waves in the music world with songs that were lucky enough to be featured on TV shows and in movies. His raspy, gritty sound, combined with real-world storytelling and gripping lyrics, makes Colter Wall a standout in today's traditional country, Americana, blues, and folk world. However, the first time we heard his name in a public forum was when WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar mentioned him. Lesnar sat down for an interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin in late 2015 and said Colter Wall is one of his favorite artists. People started to take notice. Most are taking note of his work appearing on tv and in the movies. His most popular song, "Sleeping On The Blacktop", was released on his first extended play (EP) in 2015, titled Imaginary Appalachia. That song alone has appeared in the films Hell or High Water, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, as well as the tv shows Dog the Bounty Hunter, The Peripheral, and Netflix's Kaos and Untamed.

You Probably Heard Colter Wall On Yellowstone

Mr. Wall's greatest recognition most likely came when four of his songs were featured on the hit Paramount series,  Yellowstone. The first song, "Caroline", is featured at the end of a season three episode, but the rest all come in season four. "Sleeping On The Blacktop" and "Plain To See Plainsman" are both featured in the fourth season, as well as his excellent rendition of Rex Allen's 1951 "Cowpoke".
