Talk about turning a negative into a positive...Deb Cohan might just be my new hero. Cohan recently made a brave decision to have a major life-altering surgical procedure, a double mastectomy. I cannot even fathom the amount of courage it took to make that decision. Cohan refused to let herself get down about what she was facing, so she decided to have an operating room dance party before the procedure with the entire surgical staff.

Watching this video made me think of my mother who had the same operation in 1988. My mom just turned 85 a couple of weeks ago and is still as vivacious as ever. Can you imagine what must have been going through Cohan's mind at the time?

I would give anything to have the kind of optimism that this woman shows us in this video. This is one of the most heartwarming videos I have ever seen and I feel so inspired to look at things more positively. It sounds like such a cliche, but life is what you make it, so don't waste it. By the way, Deb's procedure was a success and she is recovering nicely.

Thank you Deb for that incredible life lesson and for not only making my day, but for inspiring me. I hope others will be equally inspired.
