Cell phone

I'm sure some of you will be traveling to or through Tennessee this summer, just make sure you have your bluetooth enabled for your cell phone because the state's hand-held cell phone ban goes into effect July 1st.

Last night over dinner my wife Lisa asked me if I knew that it was now illegal to drive in Illinois while talking on a cell phone. I told her I was aware and that a hand held cell phone ban in Illinois went into effect on January 1st of this year.

If you think the title question will result in some sort of humorous blog about people dropping their cell phones, you would be wrong. This is a story about dropping a cell phone, but this story is very serious, in fact, deadly serious and is no laughing matter.

We've all been there, it's been a long day and you get a text or a call that you have to deal with, only to discover your phone battery is down to 5-percent and you know that it will die right in the middle of whatever it is you have to deal with. Does that stress you out?

Last week my wife and I were sitting at Red Robin enjoying a nice dinner until the woman in the next booth began talking on her cell phone. It wasn't the fact she was on her phone that was irritating, it was how loud she was talking that was so irritating. I was trying to think of a way to shut her down without being rude, but I couldn't think of a diplomatic way to handle it.

This is so weird, just yesterday I witnessed a little fender bender in downtown Evansville involving a driver who lightly rear-ended another vehicle. When they got out of their cars, the driver at fault admitted to the other driver she was looking at a text, to which the other driver responded in a way I can't print here.

If you listen to Leslie and I regularly, you know that I might have a few issues....alright, a lot of issues. I have just added to new issues to my list that have nothing to do with bananas, pumpkin, bathrooms or the Kardashians.

I have a dilemma. My ten-year-old son Ethan wants a cell phone and I think he is too young. Now, he already has a mohawk and you would think that would be enough. By the way, thanks for the advice on the mohawk that we posted a couple of weeks ago. Back to the issue at hand, the cell phone.

We live in a society where people are obsessed with their cell phones and can't seem to live without them. Our entire lives are in those phones and we have to be ready for that next deal and the baby in this video is no exception.

What can people NOT live without?????? The more important question is what is MORE important than Facebook. As you know, Facebook is VERY important to some people. But, just HOW important is it?
