Food prices have risen sharply over the last year and a sharp rise in commodities' prices this year will cause prices to soar even further. Some large food companies have announced they will increase the prices they charge grocery retailers on things like chocolate bars. Other companies will try something different like keeping the price relatively the same, but decreasing the amount of food in packages and boxes. The end result will be you paying more for your favorite cereals, chips, ice cream and candies for less of the product. Haagen-Dazs for example, reduced the amount of ice cream in a container significantly from 16 ounces to 14 ounces while making the container appear to be the same size by making the top the same size even thought the container itself is smaller. It is tricks like that you need to be aware of. For a complete lis of products affected from aol.com, click here.
