Opioid Help Line to Start This Evening
Opioid addiction has become an epidemic in our country, and in our own community. This evening the Vanderburgh County Prosecutors office and Eyewitness News are kicking off an opioid phone bank to get people help.
The opioid epidemic is nationwide, but to treat something nationally, it's best to start locally. That's why the Vanderburgh County Prosecutors office, and Eyewitness News have started a substance abuse hotline. It's a free hotline for anyone battling substance abuse, or for family members to call and get help.
This hotline will run every Wednesday for 4 weeks from 4-7PM where local experts will be manning the phone lines to get people answers, and direct them to help
Here's the dates the help line will run:
- November 8 4-7PM
- November 15 4-7PM
- November 22 4-7 PM
- November 29 4-7PM
The number is, 812-435-5688. You can call that number anytime between the above time frames, and a local expert will be waiting to assist you.
