Two of the best places for health care in Indiana are right here in our backyard!

A new study by U.S. News & World Report magazine ranks Deaconess and St. Vincent Hospitals in Evansville as two of the top hospitals in the entire state, beating out several other facilities in Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, South Bend, and other major metropolitan areas.

Inside Indiana Business was the first to report the findings which were based on several factors including, overall, general health care, as well as "cancer, cardiology & heart surgery, and geriatrics," among others.

Of the two, Deaconess barely edged out St. Vincent for the number two spot behind Indiana University Health Medical Center in Indianapolis while St. Vincent found itself tied for third with Indiana University Health North Hospital in Carmel and Indiana University Health West Hospital in Avon.

Congratulations to both facilities!
