A Mt. Vernon man has made it his mission to help save lives in honor of his late wife. Here's how you can help give the gift of life with the Love Like Abi Blood Drive.

Abi Williams was (and still is) a loving and beloved mother, wife, sister, and daughter. Roughly eight months after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, Abi passed away in late January of 2023, leaving behind her husband, Brian, and their two young children. Following her passing, Brian made a vow that everything he did from that point forward would be done in her honor. That includes doing his part to make sure others dealing with life-threatening conditions have the blood they need to continue their fight.

Love Like Abi Blood Drive

Toward the end of her life, Abi required daily blood transfusions, and those transfusions alone helped keep her with her loved ones longer. Brian says that without those transfusions, he and his children would have had less time with her. Without them, we would have had even less time with her. That's why he created the Love Like Abi Blood Drive. According to Brian:

Our mission is simple — to help give other families the same gift we were given… more time with the people they love. Right now, somewhere, another family is sitting in a hospital room praying for a miracle, praying for one more birthday, one more conversation, one more day. Blood donors make those moments possible.

Please consider joining us and becoming part of something that truly saves lives.
