Meet Sage, an Adoptable Indiana Rabit Looking for His Forever Home
This week's Pet of the Week from the Vanderburgh Humane Society is perfect for this time of year!
Easter is almost upon us, and everyone is talking about the Easter Bunny. It's the time of year when many might consider getting a rabbit. If adding a fluffy rabbit to your family is something that you're looking to do, look no further than the Vanderburgh Humane Society. The VHS is primarily known for adoptable dogs and cats, but sometimes you might find a pet at the humane society like Sage.
Sage is a one-year-old lionhead rabbit up for adoption at the Vanderburgh Humane Society. He came from a family of ten bunnies, all of whom Sage was father to (yes, buns need to be spayed, too!) Sage will be neutered before adoption, so you don't have to worry about ten more bunnies running around the house. But look how adorable he is...
With Easter coming up, you might think a rabbit like Sage would make for a nice gift from the “Easter Bunny.” While Sage would make an excellent first rabbit, it’s important to keep in mind that adopting can be a commitment of up to 9 years. The VHS recommends that everyone is on board before bringing a rabbit like Sage home. They're great pets, but you have to be aware of how to care for them.
Sage's adoption fee is only $50 and includes his neuter and registered microchip. Hop into the VHS and meet Sage today!
