Kentucky’s Favorite McDonald’s Menu Item Might Be a Flight Risk
While folks in most states may be ordering a Big Mac at McDonald's, a striking number of Kentuckians prefer something else. But is it here to stay?
There have been many items that have graced the McDonald's menu over the years. Some, like the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, and Filet-O-Fish, have remained largely unchanged or consistently available. However, there are others, like the Onion Nuggets, Salads, and French Toast Sticks, that just didn’t make the cut, whether due to high supply costs or lack of demand. We recently highlighted Indiana's favorite McDonald's item, and now it's time to give Kentucky its turn.
Kentucky’s Favorite McDonald’s Treat: The Snack Wrap
According to data compiled by Illinoisbet.com, Kentucky's favorite McDonald's menu item is the Snack Wrap. It made its debut in 2006 and features chicken breast, lettuce, cheese, and sauce, encased in a soft flour tortilla. Different flavor variations have been offered over the years, but the "Ranch Chicken Snack Wrap" is likely the most popular of them all. Fans of that particular offering could either opt for grilled or crispy chicken—that is, of course, until around 2016.

Is the McDonald’s Snack Wrap Leaving the Menu Again?
Around 2016, to many McDonald's goers' surprise, the Snack Wrap was discontinued. It was believed this was because it was too time-consuming to make, but let's face it—who actually gets their McDonald's order that fast anyway? (I worked at the chain in high school and can tell you it took no more time to put together than a Big Mac or anything else.) Fortunately for Snack Wrap fans, the item is making a return in 2025. However, the question still remains: for how long? Don’t play with our feelings (and stomachs), McDonald's.
