A new immersive experience is heading to an aquarium in Kentucky.
Newport Aquarium
Located in Newport, Kentucky just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio is the Newport Aquarium. The Newport Aquarium is worth the trip if you have never been, as it's truly a fun experience.
They even are home to the world's first-ever shark bridge.
SEA thousands of the world’s most exotic aquatic creatures as you waddle with playful penguins, meet rare white alligators, be surrounded by sharks and surprised by smiling stingrays. Encounter thrilling adventures like the first-in-the-world Shark Bridge, where you can cross inches above a tank full of sharks on a rope bridge. Plus, experience the brand-New Hatchling Harbor and be immersed in a bustling 25-foot-long habitat where you’ll meet baby animals growing and changing every day.
Newport Aquarium recently announced a fun, new event in time for Halloween this year, it's an immersive pumpkin glow. Of course, in true aquarium fashion, it's an underwater pumpkin glow.
Underwater Pumpkin Glow
Pumpkin Glow events are fun events where you can go and see thousands of pumpkins lighting up the night. This event is similar to those in the sense that they will have pumpkins, and they will be glowing.
However, that's about where the similarities stop. Here is what Newport Aquarium has to say about the Underwater Pumpkin Glow:
Explore the NEW Underwater Pumpkin GLOW at Newport Aquarium September 16 – November 3, 2024! Discover giant glowing animals made from pumpkins in your favorite exhibits. Watch as your animal friends get pumpkin treats and special fall enrichment while Jack-O-Lanterns become artificial reefs for the animals to explore. Wander through an underwater pumpkin patch surrounded by sharks! It’s a fall adventure like you’ve never experienced before, filled with family fun and memories at every turn.
How cool right?!
Recently WLWT shared a video preview of the event, and you've got to check this out!
