Kenergy Hosting a Fun Member Appreciation Event with Free Stuff in Owensboro

Next Thursday's going to be a really fun day in Owensboro- especially if you're a member of Kenergy. The electrical cooperative is hosting its annual Member Appreciation Day at Towne Square Mall here in town and, as always, there will be lots of FREE giveaways and food. And those giveaways involve Disney +!

At each Membership Appreciation Day location (including Towne Square Mall), Kenergy is giving away a $250 gift card to one lucky member. Plus, there's some added incentive. Connect Powered by Kenergy will giving out a FREE year of DISNEY + to the winner as well!

I had the opportunity to broadcast live from last year's Member Appreciation Day and it was so much fun. First of all, hundreds and hundreds of members showed up to collect their buckets and LED lightbulbs and more.  But they were also treated to a phenomenal lunch by Jerry Morris and the Angels for Ashley Cooking Team.

Well, good news!  Jerry and the team are returning for the 2022 event!

Last year, I helped Jerry and the team make pulled pork sandwiches for the members.  I'm not sure how many I made in the two hours I was there, but I smelled like meat for about two days after it. But you know what? It didn't matter to me. They were fun to make, fun to serve and the members were literally and figuratively eating them up!
