Southern Indiana is home to many animal shelters that often don’t receive enough credit. Not only do they help animals find their forever homes, but they also feed, house, and address any medical needs that arise. Earlier this week, the Vincennes Animal Shelter stepped up to help an injured puppy in a big way. Now, the shelter needs your help to ensure that same puppy makes a full recovery.
How You Can Help Socks the Puppy
The puppy's name is Socks, and according to the Vincennes Animal Shelter, Socks belongs to a person who is disabled. Earlier this week, Socks sustained an injury that required emergency surgery and hospitalization, resulting in costs that the owner is unable to cover. While the shelter has already performed the procedure, they are now asking for donations to help cover the costs associated with the operation. Any excess donations will go toward caring for other shelter pets.
How to Donate to the Vincennes Animal Shelter
If you're feeling generous this season of giving and would like to donate, you can contact the Vincennes Animal Shelter at (812) 882-8826 or call Southgate Vet Clinic at (812) 882-5656. Additionally, you can donate by stopping by the shelter’s physical location at 1128 S. River Road in Vincennes. All funds will go directly toward the shelter's medical expenses account.
