One Costco location in Indiana stands out among the rest in the country, among the top nine best in the United States. Here's why.

My wife and I are members, and we love it for different reasons. For me, I am a big fan of their meat selection and the prices of not only the meat but also other essentials that we use in our home. Oh, and the samples! For her, it's the $1.50 hot dogs at the cafe. Costco has more than 900 warehouses worldwide and over 600 across the United States. If you have been to a Costco before, or several locations, you know they are virtually all the same, right? However, every now and then, one location will stand out.

Recently, TastingTable.com compiled a list of the best Costco locations in the U.S., highlighting warehouses praised for cleanliness, organization, friendly staff, inventory quality, and overall shopping experience. According to the survey, these standout stores earned high ratings for:

  • Spotless floors and restrooms
  • Wide, well-stocked inventory
  • Friendly, helpful employees
  • Fast-moving checkout lines
  • Exceptional product freshness

Keep in mind that there are 633 U.S. Costco locations, and TastingTable's list narrowed that down to the nine best! That's quite the accomplishment for the locations that found themselves included in this survey. Surprisingly, one Indiana Costco made the cut!

The Indiana Costco That Made the List

Indiana is home to nine Costco locations in total, including the warehouse that made this list. First opened in October 2002, the Indiana Costco named among the best in the nation, can be found in Northwestern Indianapolis' Fortune Park area. According to rave online reviews, this branch is particularly favored by local shoppers for a variety of reasons, including its extensive stock, sparkling interior, and approachable, courteous, and cooperative employees.

TastingTable goes on to talk about the Fortune Park Costco by saying:

Other frequent shoppers have commended the generous parking capacity, along with the general quality and diversity of samples offered. However, you'll also find alluring deals and choices on clothing articles, alcoholic beverages, and school supplies. Furthermore, the employees at the front desk are apparently always eager to cater to their customers' needs and resolve their urgent issues. The addition of two extra lines has certainly simplified the checkout process at busy hours, too, thus ensuring an overall smooth experience. "Everything is stocked, even on busy days," a shopper wrote on Google in early 2026, highlighting one of the many reasons this Costco location excels.

Again, these rankings are based on sustained customer reviews and satisfaction. The fact that Indiana has one of the best Costco locations in the nation is a pretty big honor!
