If you seem to struggle moving your kayak around from your vehicle to the water, this handy tool might be what you need. It's called a kayak cart. Sure you can get them at online or at some stores, but you might pay an arm and a leg for one. My friend DJ and I decided to build our own and save some money.

The cool thing about this is that it is cheap, yet effective! Not only that, but it is super easy to make. DJ and I show you how to make one the only way we know how...with humor. Check it out for yourself:

Below, we have all of the tools, supplies, and dementions that you will need to make a kayak cart yourself!

 

Tools:

  • hacksaw
  • measuring tape
  • PVC glue
  • 2 adjustable wrenches
  • cordless drill
  • 3/8 inch drill bit

Supplies:

  • 1inch PVC pipe (10 foot long...never hurts to have extra in case you mess up)
  •  2 wheels
  • 5/8 inch all thread
  • 2 nylon nuts
  • 2 washers
  • foam pool noodle
  • 4 T-connectors
  • 2 caps

Dementions:

PVC Pipes:

  • Two 9 inch pieces
  • Two 7 inch pieces
  • Two 6 inch pieces
  • Two 2 inch pieces

Other:

  • 22 inches for the all thread
