A major retailer with multiple locations in Indiana has announced that they will be closing all stores for 24 hours, so consider this your heads up.

We are all pretty much aware of the regular business hours of the stores we frequent most in Indiana. If you're like me, you sometimes race in just before they close to grab what you need for the rest of the week. I can't tell you how many times I needed to get some last-minute items from the store that I forgot to get the last time I was there. The last thing you want is to get in your vehicle and drive all the way to the store you need to get supplies from, only to find that they are unexpectedly closed. That's why it's helpful to know when those stores may be unexpectedly closed, which is what is happening soon with one of the most popular retail chains in the country.

Costco Closing All Indiana Locations for 24 Hours in July

The Fourth of July, or Independence Day, is coming next Friday. That means it's time for cookouts, bonfires, and fireworks while surrounded by friends and family. Costco is the perfect place to stock up on all of the essentials for your July 4th celebrations. Costco is one of the most popular retailers in the United States. As of this writing, there are 627 Costco stores in the United States, including Puerto Rico. There are 9 Costco stores in Indiana, and every single one of them will be closed on July 4th.

The retailer announced that all locations will be closed that day to allow employees to spend time with their loved ones. While there will be several looking to grab last-minute supplies for Fourth of July gatherings, don't wait until the day of to get your supplies from Costco. You will be S.O.L. for sure! So, consider this your heads up to make sure that you get everything you need before next Friday.

The retailer also let customers know about all the other days they will be closed in 2025. Here are the remaining days in 2025 when all Costco stores will be closed across the United States:

• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

Of course, if you do find that you forgot to grab an essential item, it's not the end of the world. Other retailers like Sam's Club, Walmart, and Target have announced that they will be open on July 4th. But for all of those Costco shoppers who get all of their supplies for bigger celebrations from the retailer, you are going to want to make sure you double-check that you have everything before next Friday.
