It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue is a 501 c3 non-for-profit no-kill shelter and rescue in Evansville. Their mission is to do:
what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians, animal control organizations, and trainers, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs. True to our no-kill policy, all “adoptable” animals are given the time, love and care needed to find their permanent home. We never euthanize for time or space purposes, and only perform humane euthanasia’s in the event of extreme, untreatable illness or aggression.
The proceeds from the Canine Carnival Ball will go to help them continue with their day-to-day expenses including food, shelter and vet care for these animals.
