Fanim Industries have issued a recall of "about Harbor Breeze Santa Ana Ceiling Fans after receiving over 200 complaints from customers saying the fans blades broke while the fan was running, and in some cases flew off.

The recall, issued through the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, applies to the 48-inch Santa Ana Ceiling Fan with model number LP8294LBN, which can be found and on the fan motor as well as on the inside of the battery compartment cover of the included handheld remote control, and UPC code 840506599178. The recall also says 10 of the reports they received involve injury.

The fans were sold exclusively through Lowes stores nationwide and through the store's website between May 2014 through January 2016. If you have one, stop using it, and call Fanim Industries at 888-434-3797 anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (7:00 a.m. to  4:00 p.m. Central) Monday through Friday to get a set of replacement blades.
