The Habitat for Humanity ReStore shop off Telephone Road in Warrick County is looking for a variety of donations to help stock the shop so they can continue funding home builds for families in need of a place to call their own.

The local chapter of the national non-profit organization posted a detailed list of items they're looking for on Facebook Tuesday afternoon. The list includes, "new or gently used items such as: couches, recliners, stoves, refrigerators, kitchen cabinets, dining room sets, building materials, doors, windows, flooring, and much more!"

All items taken in by the store are resold to the general public with the money raised going toward the construction of new homes in the area.

If you or someone you know has one of these items, or something else the store could use (they also sell new and gently used paint supplies such as roller handles, as well as tools and plumbing supplies), simply drop them off at the store anytime during the business hours listed below:

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In the event you have a larger item like a couch or a big appliance, but no means to haul it to the store, you can call 812-858-3707 to schedule a free pick-up of your item.
