This Illinois Water Park Really Did Have a Gator Swimming in It
You might want to look twice before you jump in the water after you see a video that proves a water park in Illinois really did have an alligator swimming in it.
No, this was not a case of nature going out of control. The Scovill Zoo (which is a petting zoo in Illinois) let their resident alligator named "G" (for gator?) go on a field trip to Splash Cove Water Park in Decatur, Illinois. You can really see the smile on his (big) alligator face.
How would you like to be the person responsible for convincing "G" the gator that it's time to leave? I'm not volunteering for that chore. Trying to coax my children into leaving parks is hard enough in itself. When it comes to a huge gator like this big boy? Nope.
By the way, some comments on the Scovill Zoo Facebook page seemed concern about "G" swimming in water that has chlorine in it. The Splash Cover people said there was no chlorine present when "G" was brought into the park. In other words, no gators (or humans) were harmed in the making of this fun field trip video.
If this doesn't make Scovill Zoo worthy of a follow on Facebook, nothing is. If you're taking gators on field trips to water parks, I'm definitely interested to see what you'll do next.
