See American Idol Finalist Paul Jolley In A 2008 Video

American Idol Season is back again!  I am always excited to critique performances and guess who might be sent home, but this year, it's been different.  I've been very excited to see a singer I've known for years make it all the way to the top 10.  Paul Jolley is a guy I met when he was about 16 years old.

I was working for a station in Murray, KY, and Paul was a shy, young teen looking to be a star.  Every year, he would come back to compete in our annual talent contest, and often was a finalist.  He always brought his family along including his grandfather, who recently passed.  I had the pleasure of meeting him and the whole Jolley family, he was and they are all great people!  I wish Paul the best, but couldn't help but pull a short video of a young Paul singing (and young-er me introducing him).
