Practical Magic 2 is Officially Coming in September

It's official! The Owens sisters and all their practical magic will be returning to theaters on September 18, 2026. Starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, the original Practical Magic captivated little girl dreamers and wish-makers alike. Based on the 1995 novel by Alice Hoffman, Practical Magic is the story of two little girls born into witchcraft and the struggles they face as they discover their powers and curses. Warner Bros. puts its own customary magic on both productions, allowing actors to bring the roles to life. For me, the magic was in the powerful, elite performances from everyone in the film, especially the two leading ladies. Bullock and Kidman play the part of rebel and righteous sisters, drawing any and every little girl in that ever made a wish for Prince Charming. The original Practical Magic followed the two sisters as they grew up learning about their inherited witchcraft from their grandmothers. Regardless of what they want out of love in life, they are told they can't have it due to a family curse. However, a curse would never stop the wandering mind of any little girl, but especially little girls with the ability to literally whip up a Prince Charming recipe (the film will explain). Check out the trailer for Practical Magic 2 below.

What to Expect with Practical Magic 2

Practical Magic could not make a return appearance in any way, shape, or form without Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock. These two leading ladies are the characters whose roles deliver the magic that keeps us glued to the screen. While they are returning in their respective roles, Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing will also be returning as the all-knowing grandmothers. In a fascinating twist, the sequel introduces Sandra Bullock's two daughters from the original movie as young ladies, facing the same love-curse that killed their father. Check out the trailer, and I'll see you September 16 at the theaters!
