There has been a lot of speculation lately about LeAnn Rimes and her health or lack thereof. The speculation has covered everything from an eating disorder to substance abuse. Rimes' peeps tell People that Rimes has checked into a treatment facility for her mental health, specifically, anxiety and stress.

According to Rimes' rep Marcel Pariseau, "LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30 day in-treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress. While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."

Rimes has been embroiled in a lot of negative press over the last couple of years for her relationship with now husband Eddie Cibrian, who she has been married to now for a year, and her ongoing battle with her twitter followers over claims she is anorexic. There has also been speculation that her marriage to Cibrian is in trouble, another claim the 30-year-old singer flatly denies.

Rimes herself said of her treatment, and the time away is "just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be."

This is a developing story, but it's hard not to think about other stars who hit it big as a child and had trouble coping in later years. It's kind of sad really, mainly because she had to grow up so early and has had a very difficult road to the top in spite of being one of the most talented female vocalists of the last 30 years. Good Luck LeAnn, I sincerely hope you find the answers you are looking for.
