We've had the Internet so long now, we can start to feel NOSTALGIC about its early days. Who remembers Netscape, AOL Chat, and dial-up? Yikes.

I WOULD say "Who remembers Craigslist?", but there are still plenty who use it. However, it still seems like THAT particular online "yard sale" has become a bit dated since the advent of the always-busy Facebook Marketplace. It's a wonderland of great buys, but it can also be a huge "museum" of some pretty unusual items. And, yes, I will admit that one person's trash is another person's treasure AND that some of the items I find bizarre really aren't to others. And, of course, you have to really just have to happen upon some of the kookier merch which is in abundance on Kentucky and Indiana pages.

Unusual Merchandise on Facebook Marketplace -- Kentucky/Indiana

With that, who's in need of a LOT of unicorns? No...correction...LOADS of unicorns.

Unicorns not your game? Well, how about some very strange-looking boots? I understand they're brand new and very popular. But I think they look like footwear for playfully demonic (or demonically playful?) creatures in movie dream sequences.

I notice they're MEN'S footwear. Well, I'm sure they don't come in my size (15), so I'll move on. (Obviously, this is all for the sake of humor; those boots will sell.)

Who Needs an Amusement Park Ride?

But maybe you don't need strange boots or more unicorns than you can shake a stick at. Maybe you need an Orbitron. I mean, who wouldn't?

If found it on Louisville's Facebook Marketplace page, but the seller is in Washington IN. Maybe they no longer have need for a unique amusement park ride which, when in action, looks something like this:

An Onion Ring...But a Very Special One

Amusement park ride, huh? I'll take that as a perfect opportunity to segue into onion rings, a popular carnival treat. But how many have you found shaped like infinity?

From the Owensboro KY Facebook Marketplace comes a delicious onion ring that, I'm guessing, isn't meant to be eaten. In all seriousness, this is hilarious. The size 15 ring is in new condition with a "diamond" for a gemstone. (Don't bite down.) Its material is listed as "batter and onion."

And I have one more and only because it's a table lighter shaped like a toilet. Had to include it.

Again, even if you're not in the market for some really unusual finds, Facebook Marketplace is still very entertaining. Enjoy.

"Uh, I'll take two unicorns and that onion ring, please. And yes, I'd like a bag."
