While if you look at the lyrics, 'Yeah Boy' is definitely a song about how she's crushing on a guy, however how the song came to be is a completely different story!

Anytime 'Yeah Boy' comes on I instantly want to intro it like how Flavor Flav says "YEAHHH BOYYYY" But I've always resisted the urge. It turns out, I wasn't all that far off!

Recently Kelsea Ballerini talked about how she went into a writing session and had a Flavor Flav commercial stuck in her head, mainly the part where he yells his signature "yeah boy" and it stuck with her, so she made that the starting point for her song 'Yeah Boy' and well...the rest is history!
