Over the weekend, we had to go to our storage unit and discovered a Little Tykes car that both of my sons used when they were very little. You remember the red and yellow car that you powered with your feet, right? My son Evan said it was too bad he couldn't drive it like a real car as he tried to squeeze in. It was a tight fit for him, but he did take it for a spin around our storage unit. Low and behold I find out that a guy in Great Britain has actually built a real life, grown-up Little Tykes car that can travel up to 70mph and runs on actual gasoline.

No word whether these will be manufactured commercially, but if they are, I will be the first in line. I have the utmost respect for people with this kind of creative initiative. See the car in action below.
