Tomorrow is Veteran's Day and we honor those brave men and women who fought and will continue to fight for this country. On this day I always think of my grandfather who was a Marine in WWI, my uncle who served in the Navy and my wife Lisa who served as a nurse and officer in the United States Army. I am so proud of all of you and all of the men and women who have served and continue to serve this

Yesterday I was cutting up a block of frozen chocolate for my boys to share. I was attempting a particular angle when all of a sudden, the knife went right across my right index finger and up to the nail...huge gash. The thing that was so weird is the fact I was using an ordinary butter knife and in that instant, I realized how much we depend on our fingers for everything we do.

When you get to a certain age, you start thinking about maybe doing things that would normally be outside of your comfort zone. I am at that stage, but what should I do? Over the weekend, we had to go to our storage unit and discovered a Little Tykes car that both of my sons used when they were very little. You remember the red and yellow car that you powered with your feet, right? My son Evan said it was too bad he couldn't drive it like a real car as he tried to squeeze in.

This is day two of schools being closed with the kids being home and of course, I'm at home playing Mr. mom. Over the holiday break, my wife Lisa talked me into to watching the classic,'A Christmas Story' for the first time. I can't believe it is week 7 already and there are so many storylines including the saga of two Mannings. One, Eli and his New York Giants are 0 and 6 and Eli is on pace to set a single season record for interceptions. Peyton is at the top of his game and his Broncos are undefeated as he returns to Indy this Sunday to face the Colts, the team he led for 14 incredible years.

Week three was one of the wildest yet in the young season. Who would have thought the San Francisco 49ers would be 1-2 after losing to the Colts at home last Sunday. The Colts are pretty good, but they were a two-touchdown underdog to the defending NFC champions. The Colts destroyed the Niners in San Francisco no less.

It is week 2 of the football season and some great games are on tap for this weekend. I think the premiere game will be the Denver Broncos visiting the New York Giants. That game will be a battle of the Mannings, Peyton and Eli. Peyton had a huge game last week against the Ravens and Eli struggled against the Dallas Cowboys.

If you listen to Leslie and I regularly, you know that I might have a few issues....alright, a lot of issues. I have just added to new issues to my list that have nothing to do with bananas, pumpkin, bathrooms or the Kardashians.

The "Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro is bringing his 'Bakin' with the Boss' tour to the Victory Theater on August 5th. Tickets are on sale now! The 'Cake Boss' reality show has been on TLC since 2009 and Valastro has made quite a name for himself and his family's bakery, Carlo's Bakery which is located in Hoboken, NJ and has been in business for more than 100 years...
