If you were to visit this small town in Indiana, you might feel like you are in a Hallmark movie, according to a new list of ten small towns that make you feel like you're in a Hallmark movie in the United States.
As someone who is from a small town in Indiana, I am proud of where I come from. Boonville, Indiana is a great place to raise a family and to call home. I don't care what anyone says. Indiana is full of small towns. Most of these little towns in the state are quite charming. There's so much hometown pride in these small towns. I mention that because there's a correlation between small towns and Hallmark movies. A constant theme with the majority of Hallmark movies is small towns. Think about all of the Hallmark movies you have seen in the past, most of them are centered around small-town living.
The website Best Life recently put together a list of “10 Small Towns in the U.S. That Feel Like You’re in a Hallmark Movie.” They used travel advisors to help come up with this list. Out of all the small towns in the United States, one Indiana town actually made the top 10.

Coming in at number eight on the list is the small town of Shipshewana, Indiana. This small town with a big Amish presence is a place you can visit where you will feel like you are inside a Hallmark movie. Best Life says:
Hallmark movies almost always feature a small, welcoming community where the heroine can escape busy big city she hails from. That's exactly the kind of feeling you'll have when visiting Shipshewana, Indiana.
You will no doubt pass a few horses and buggies when you visit Shipshewana. Other notable things found in this small town include the largest flea market in the Midwest and cattle, great food, and dairy farms that are open to the public for tours. Kim Parizek, of Boutique Travel Advisors, goes on to talk about the small town.
<p>Along with being exposed to a bygone period, one cannot escape the charm and unique contributions that make it like a Hallmark movie," she says, adding that goods are made by hand in small batches and sold at the local flea market—which is actually the largest in the Midwest.</p><p>A Hallmark movie could quickly be based on this town with the social pressures of the outside world encroaching on their slower-paced lives.</p>
