Antique Hunting

Something I love doing is searching for vintage items and antiques. My home is filled with vintage and antique furniture because I love finding unique pieces for my home. Not to mention, it's just really cool to give new life to something old. As the old phrase goes "one man's trash is another's treasure!"

For example, one of my favorite vintage finds is this 1967 Sears Silvertone record cabinet that now serves as our TV stand. The turntable didn't work anymore, and the speakers were rotted so we took them out, but left all of the internal wiring in case we decide to make it play again, and use the inside of the speaker boxes for storage. She's a beaut, Clark!

There's just something about the way things were made years ago. Things just seemed to be sturdier and made better than things these days. So I love a good antique find! Also if you look closely behind the stereo console, you can see the top of the lid of a cobalt glass jar that belonged to my grandma. See vintage is the coolest!

Get Your Antique Treasure Hunting on With Antique Alley

Now this sounds like a vintage lover's dream! Antique Alley is home to over 800 antique stores, and it's all in the state of Indiana. I had never heard of Antique Alley until I saw it on Tik Tok and now I'm definitely making plans to check it out. There are two different trails you can take when heading out onto Antique Alley, both have several different shops.
