Indiana And Kentucky Voted As One Of The Least Fun States In America
Everyone loves to have fun. If you don't believe me, just look on social media at all of the "fun" selfies that people take. Fun is a relative term, but according to this new survey, we in the Tri-State, lack in the fun department.
A new study conducted by Wallethub, ranked all 50 states from the most fun to the least fun based on 22 factors, including the number of attractions, night life, weather, amusement parks, beaches, beer and wine prices, movie prices, concerts, theaters, and casinos.
Now based on a few of those factors, it should come as no surprise that Nevada came in at number one on the list...VEGAS! There are a few surprises, however, when looking at this list. How do you think the Tri-State fit in on this list though?
Well, Illinois did the best coming in at number 16. That's pretty good. I mean they do have Chicago...which I think is the main reason that the state ranked so high compared to some of the others. Regardless, when it comes to this survey, they come in at first as the most fun state in the Tri-State.
Then there is Indiana coming in at 45...that's 45 out of 50! I can only assume that we ranked so low based on the weather alone! I never would have expected Indiana to be that low, while other states like South Dakota and Wyoming are in the top 10!
Coming in at the least fun state in the Tri-State is Kentucky...sorry guys...their list, not mine. Kentucky came in not too far after Indiana at number 47. I suppose that I can see this ranking lower if this list has a concentration on night life and there are still some counties in Kentucky that are considered "dry" counties. Either way...the Tri-State did not do too well in this survey.
