Located in Henderson, Kentucky is a total gem called Audubon State Park. You can camp, hike, and even check out a museum in the park.  There is no shortage of fun things to do at Audubon State Park.  This October you can enjoy Audubon State Park...after dark!

Spooky Tales and Nighttime Trails Event

On October 29th you can experience Audubon State Park at night, with a chilling twist! Picture this, you're on a trail, you're listening to spooky stories, but it's night and you're in the woods, tell me that doesn't up the spooky level by quite a bit?!

Here is what John James Audubon State Park has to say about the Spooky Tales and Nighttime Trails event:

A frightfully fun evening of night hikes and spooky stories! Beginning at 6:30 P.M., let our park naturalists lead you into the preserve for a night adventure on the trail. Learn of the mysterious and perhaps creepy nocturnal creatures of the woods in several stops along the way. By 8 P.M., our hike will conclude at a shelter house for a session of spooky tales as told by our friends, the RiverTown StoryTellers. All ages are welcome. Cost of admission is $5.00, cash only at the gate. Hikers are advised to wear sturdy closed-toe shoes as well as warm layers of clothing, to account for the variable weather conditions and cool nighttime temperatures of late October.
