Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman was one of my favorite shows growing up, as I'm sure it was for many of you as well. I can vividly remember spending weekends with our family in Brownsburg, Indiana. My cousins and I would all circle up on the floor, and the parents would sit around us, gathered together to take in the family drama of one of the best Westerns to hit television (at least since the John Wayne days). The drama of Sully and Dr. Quinn was enough to keep everyone swooning.

Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman Reboot Possibilities

Reboots seem to be popping up in Hollywood every day now, and this show has certainly been included in the conversation. In fact, rumor has it that the original show creator, Beth Sullivan, has already written a script for the reboot, and the script includes all of the original characters and actors! The script is supposedly set 30 years later, around the turn of the century. While still focusing on the ever-changing relationships in the show, the issues portrayed took a more timely approach, centering on the women's movement, immigration, and indigenous rights. Here's the crazy part. While we don't know exactly when the script was presented to studios, we do know the script was rejected. Why? The studios said that westerns wouldn't do well in today's world. Excuse me. What? Yellowstone might be one of the most popular television shows in modern history, not to mention the spin-offs and countless other westerns seeing success today.

Jane Seymour and Joe Lando Reunite on Harry Wild

While the reboot for Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman is currently on hold, a script is out there, and the desire is there. Jane Seymour and Joe Lando are currently acting alongside each other again on the fifth season of Harry Wild. In a recent interview about that series, the two actors revealed their feelings on acting together again, as well as their thoughts on a Michaela and Sully reunion. Check out the interview below.
