The 98th annual West Side Nut Club Fall Festival kicks off on October 7th and will come to an end that Saturday, October 12th with the annual Fall Festival as the last official event to the week. Like every great parade, a Grand Marshall is named to serve as the lead. This year will be a little different as not just one, but several people will fill the role.

The Nut Club announced through a press release on Thursday this year's Grand Marshalls will be the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America Ceremonial Band, a condensed version of the 45-person Band of Mid-America based at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, roughly an hour east of St. Louis.

I could sit here and type out the history of the band, or I could let this video do it for me. Let's go with option two.

It looks like the Nut Club made a great choice. I can't wait to see it.
