Free App Lets You Play Games While Video Chatting With Friends

We're all practicing social distancing, because it's the best we can do to help slow the spread of COVID-19.  I'm an extrovert so social distancing has been really hard for me.  I thrive off socializing with my favorite people, and I'm used to seeing family and my friends often.  So a couple weeks ago when a friend of mine told me to download Houseparty, and it was a game changer. it's been a great tool to help me personally stay connected with my friend group, and my family.

Houseparty is an app that lets you video chat and play games at the same time.  You can video chat with one person or multiple people. In fact the other day my mom, my cousin, and my aunts were all on it with me at the same time.  It's been a really fun tool for me to use to stay connected. The games  also help make it fun. They've got several trivia style games, Heads up (it's kind of like a catchphrase game), and a Pictionary style game.

The last few weeks I've used more than any other app on my phone.  Yeah I can stay connected with people through social media, but it's hard to weave through all the negativity sometimes.  So this isn't a sponsored post or anything like that, I just wanted to share with you something that has personally helped me during this weird time we're living in.  I've been missing my friends and my family something fierce, and this app has been a great distraction, plus a way to see their faces.
